Music In The Fields - Country Music Festival

CROSS MEDIA MARKETING CAMPAIGN • WEB SITE • PRESS CONFERENCE • POSTERS • FLYERS •

MITF logo"What should we call it?"
" Where's it being held?"
"On the town's soccer fields"...

...and so Music in the Fields was presented and approved with resounding enthusiasm. The festival is organized by a local volunteer group called The Lucknow Kinsmen, and is community centred involving primarily local businesses, with proceeds being donated to community hospitals and schools, as well as the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

It's memorable and it's a name we can build on, if you close your eyes you can picture the green grass, the blue sky and hear the music coming in on a summer wind.

This is the imagery that sells the tickets, the imagery that drives the experience, from the logo, with the type and guitar sitting on a bed of grass, to posters and flyers featuring a vast blue sky with the signature denim pattern and inviting green grass to kick back on.

The blue sky and green grass make for an attractive and memorable branding vehicle that stands out in a "field" of traditionally sober coloured, stressed type on barn doors and wooden fence posts!

These brand elements have the flexibility to function well in portrait and landscape formats. This of course is key to a brand that exists both indoors and outdoors across a huge variety of media, from 9' x 12' banners to a web site, and newspaper ads to posters.

In the course of promoting and marketing the event, we held a press conference to alert the press and instigate, Invitations and reminders were email driven, and attendees were handed out printed press kits.

The event was followed up with all invited guests receiving an Electronic Press Kit.

The success of the event was revealed in the amount of regional press coverage that followed, and the subsequent number of visits received by the web site.

This project is live, and as more collateral is released, it will be added here. Please check back in the coming months...
